Introduction:
The CCNA Routing and Switching curriculum consists of the fol-lowing four levels that make up the recommended learning path:

  • CCNA 1: Introduction to Networks (duration: 6 Days)
  • CCNA 2: Routing and Switching Essentials (duration: 6 Days)
  • CCNA 3: Scaling Networks (duration: 6 Days)
  • CCNA 4: Connecting Networks (duration: 6 Days)

The curriculum helps students develop workforce readiness skills and builds a foundation for success in networking-related careers and degree programs .

Course Objectives:
The Cisco Networking Academy® CCNA Routing and Switching curriculum is designed for those who are seeking entry-level ICT jobs or plan to pursue more specialized ICT skills.

CCNA Routing and Switching provides comprehensive coverage of networking topics, from fundamentals to advanced applica-tions and services, with opportunities for hands-on practical ex-perience and career skills development. Participants will be pre-pared to take the Cisco CCENT® certification exam after com-pleting a set of two levels and the CCNA® Routing and Switching certification exam after completing a set of four levels.

Methodology:
Lecture sessions, lab sessions, online chapter exams, online final exams and skill based final exams.

Who should attend:
The Cisco CCNA® Routing and Switching curriculum is designed for all candidates who want to be Cisco Networking Academy® students, who are seeking networking jobs in the ICT industry or hope to fulfil prerequisites to pursue more specialized ICT skills.

The curriculum is appropriate for students at many education levels and types of institutions, including high schools, secondary schools, universities, colleges, career and technical schools, and community centers.

Foad Motalebi

Mr. Foad Motalebi

Currently a lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Comput-er Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Science, Curtin University Malaysia. He first started in the teaching profession in 1995. He joined Curtin in 2003. Prior to that, he was a lecturer, first at NIIT, Johor Bahru and then at Informatics, Johor Bahru. He com-pleted his BSc from Utkal University, India and Post Grad Diploma from NIIT, India. He finished his Masters in IT from PTU, India. Besides that, he finished his GCTT (Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching) from Curtin University, Australia. He is a CISCO Networking Academy Instructor.

Veeramani Shanmugam

Mr. Veeramani Shanmugam

Currently a senior lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Science, Curtin University Malaysia. Prior to working at Curtin, he had several years of teaching experience as a Lecturer at D.G Vaishnav College; S.I.V.E.T. College; Bharat Engineering college affiliated to University of Madras, India and Midas Group of Engineering College, Malaysia. He is a CISCO Networking Academy Instructor (CCNA 1-4). His key ex-pertise is in computer programming and applications, computer architecture, communication system and computer network and security. His research interests include distributed computer networks and cloud computing.
